Mundo Revés, Qvevri 2023

Mundo Revés is an experimental Argentine project dedicated to turning conventional winemaking on its head, quite literally meaning “upside down world”. The winery focuses on small-scale, low-intervention wines that explore alternative techniques and ancient methods rarely seen in the region. Fermented in traditional Georgian qvevri, this skin-contact wine made from a blend of Friuliano and Criolla Grande is aromatic, textured and beautifully unconventional. Fragrant notes of rose petal, orange peel and dried apricot lead into flavours of stone fruit, citrus pith and gentle spice. The 6 months skin contact adds structure and grip while maintaining freshness and balance. Complex yet approachable, it sits somewhere between white and orange wine, offering a fascinating twist on two of Argentina’s most aromatic varieties.
